10 awesome FATHER & DAUGHTER songs

You ask any Dad about the one moment he is looking forward to most at his daughter’s wedding other than walking her down the aisle and that will almost certainly be the special dance he shares with her during the evening party. It’s a real emotional moment that encapsulates the relationship between a Dad and his Daughter.

But what song to choose? There are so many to choose from. You want a song about love, but only the one-of-a-kind love that a Dad and his daughter share.

So, to help you choose that perfect track for that special moment with your Dad, I’ve compiled the top 10 best father/daughter songs out there.

By the way, it’s important to mention that you don’t even need a song that mentions the word “Dad” or “Father” in the lyrics, it could be completely random.

A good DJ friend of mine told me about a song he played, David Bowie’s “Starman”. It was the song the Bride’s dad used to sing to her as he was putting her to bed…there wasn’t a dry eye in the house!

When thinking about a song it could be something like that or a song you both sang along to whilst he was taking you to Brownies or whatever…just something special to both of you.

I think when my daughter eventually gets married I’d like to think the song will be You Can’t Stop The Beat from the musical Hairspray or maybe even Lay All Your Love On Me from the Mamma Mia! film. Both of those are definite car-aoke classics in our family!
